Chef Adam Todd has been
involved with the food service industry since 1999 -
working in Fine Dining and Family Style restaurants. Adam is
currently working as an Apprentice Chef under Chef Ray Bear at
Bear
Restaurant, and also cooks at
The Wooden
Monkey in Halifax.
A graduate of the
two-year Culinary Arts program at the NSCC Akerley Campus Sobeys
Culinary Institute in 2008, Adam excelled in the program and was selected as Sous Chef for the NSCC Touch of Class student showcase.
Adam recently competed in the ApEx Restaurant Wars for Bear
Restaurant, making it to the final in a close battle with Chefs from
Gio.
In 2007, Adam had the
honor of returning to his hometown of Winnipeg Manitoba for his NSCC
work placement. There he trained and learned under World Master Chef
Takashi Murikami, of the St. Charles Golf and Country Club .
Adam has also had the
privilege to work alongside some of Halifax’s most respected Chefs
including Ray Bear and Sean Kettley, and Chef Instructors Nic
Cameron and Deb Connors. Adam's education, training and
work experiences all influence his styles of cooking, dishes and
menus.
